About The Blind Portrait

The Blind Portrait revives the intimacy of authentic human connection. In a world where direct, eye-to-eye contact is increasingly avoided, this experience restores the bond that appears when two people truly look at each other. Over a 45-second shared gaze, Moral Turgeman draws a single, continuous-line portrait without looking at the page, capturing more than likeness—the felt presence of the subject. The project has surpassed 6,000 portraits across 26 countries on its path to 10,000; when it reaches 10,000, originals are gifted back to participants as a gesture of reciprocity.
